Science Slam is the annual event hosted by ZAL (Center of Applied Aeronautical Research), the central research facility for aeronautics in Hamburg next to the Airbus plant.
The topic of Open Science, and the project OSCAR as an example of fostering Open Science, were presented in front of more than 500 people (the event was sold out!), most of which are actively involved in aeronautical research.
In Science Slams, participants are asked to present a science topic, as entertaining as possible, while still staying scientifically sound, in 10 minutes. The audience is actively involved in this type of infotainment which gets a lot of attention.
