OSCAR at the 47th European Transport Conference (ETC2019)

OSCAR will be presented at the 47th European Transport Conference (ETC2019), the Annual Conference of the Association for European Transport, which will be held in Dublin Castle, Dublin, Ireland, from the 9th until the 11th of October 2019. The overall concept, objectives and main up to date activities and achievement of OSCAR will be presented on Friday, October 11th,  in the frame of a dedicated workshop organized by the BE OPEN project, entitled: “OPEN SCIENCE IN TRANSPORT - Challenges and way forward”.

OSCAR at the 9th EASN international Conference on “Innovation in Aviation and Space”

OSCAR has successfully participated at the 9th EASN international Conference on “Innovation in Aviation and Space” which took place in Athens, Greece from the 3rd until the 6th of September, 2019. The event included 9 Κey - Νote Lectures and more than 360 technical presentations distributed in approximately 70 sessions. Furthermore, 40 HORIZON2020 projects have disseminated their latest research results as well as the future trends on the respective technological field.

The European Aeronautics Science Network publishes on a regular basis an electronic newsletter which is distributed to several thousands of researchers and scientists throughout Europe. An OSCAR-related article has been published in the August 2019 issue, presenting the initial results, latest news and main up-to-date activities of the project.

OSCAR and BE-OPEN F2F meeting in Athens

A very fruitful meeting was organized and held between the OSCAR team and the coordinator of the BE-OPEN project, Mrs. Boile. The meeting took place in Athens, Greece, in the frame of the OSCAR 6M progress meeting. The two projects, both dealing with the issue of Open Science, have agreed to frequently exchange, be in touch, support each other and collaborate where possible; so as to mutually benefit and avoid duplications of effort.

The 6-Months’ progress meeting of the OSCAR project took place on the 25th of June 2019, in Athens – Greece, at the Philippos Hotel. Representatives of all OSCAR consortium members attended the meeting and discussed upon the main progress made during the initial six months of the project. Moreover, the OSCAR partners have cordially prepared and coordinated the foremost tasks and activities planned to take place in the near future.

The presence of the OSCAR project has been shown at the TandemAERodays19.20 event, held from the 27th until the 30th of May 2019, in Bucharest, Romania. The European Aeronautics Days (Aerodays) has been the leading event in aviation research and innovation, mirroring the priorities and strategies set within the European Union's Research Framework Programmes. This year's 8th edition was successfully co-organized by the European Commission and the Romanian Presidency of the European Council.

OSCAR publication at the EASN Newsletter

The European Aeronautics Science Network publishes on a regular basis an electronic newsletter which is distributed to several thousands of researchers and scientists throughout Europe. An OSCAR-related article has been published in the May 2019 issue of the EASN newsletter, presenting the main concept, objectives and expected impact of the project, aimed at introducing it to the wider European research and scientific community.

 

OSCAR at the 9th EASN International Conference

The OSCAR project will be proudly presented at the 9th EASN International Conference on “Innovation in Aviation & Space” which will take place in Athens, Greece from the 3rd until the 6th of September, 2019. The OSCAR coordinator, Mr. Gerhard Pauly from Fraunhofer IFAM will present the project in the frame of a session dedicated to running Coordination & Support Actions.
